Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Prodlake Production Experience Platform ("Platform"), operated by Prodlake Technologies, Inc. ("Prodlake"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Platform

Prodlake is a Production Experience Platform where instructors publish video-based production engineering experiences and learners pay to access them. Instructors may also use AI Studio to generate teaching assets (investigation timelines, terminal replays, architecture walkthroughs, root cause analysis diagrams) as supplementary tools for their content creation process.

2. Account Types

Instructors upload and publish production engineering experiences. They retain ownership of their content and receive 85% of each sale of their experiences that they bring in themselves, and 70% of each sale Prodlake marketed. Details are in section 4.

Learners purchase access to published experiences. Purchased content remains accessible as long as the experience is available on the Platform.

3. Instructor Responsibilities

As an instructor, you agree to:

  • Publish only content you have the right to share — experiences must not contain proprietary code, trade secrets, or NDA-protected material from current or former employers.
  • Never include secrets, credentials, API keys, customer data, or internal dashboard screenshots in your uploads.
  • Ensure your content represents genuine production engineering knowledge — fabricated or misleading experiences will be removed.
  • Use AI Studio output as a creation tool, not as the final product — you are responsible for the accuracy and quality of your published experience.

4. Revenue and Payouts

Revenue split: For sales an instructor brings in themselves, the instructor receives 85% of the sale and Prodlake retains 15%. For sales Prodlake marketed, meaning the learner purchased through a Prodlake marketing link (one containing ref=prodlake), the instructor receives 70% and Prodlake retains 30%. The split for each sale is fixed when the sale is recorded. Prodlake's share is a platform fee covering hosting, delivery, payment processing, and platform operations.

Holding period: Earnings from each sale become payable 14 days after the purchase, matching the 14-day learner refund window.

Payouts: Earnings are kept in the currency the learner paid. ₹ earnings and $ earnings are paid out separately. Payouts are sent once a month, manually, by bank transfer or UPI to the Indian bank account or UPI ID the instructor has provided. The minimum payout is ₹1,000 for ₹ earnings and $10 for $ earnings. A payable balance below its currency's minimum rolls over to the next month. A $ payout is converted to rupees when it is sent to the Indian bank account or UPI ID.

Refunds: If a learner is refunded, the instructor's earnings from that sale are reduced by the instructor's share of the refund. Prodlake bears its own fee on the refunded amount. A refund made after a payout is taken off the instructor's next payout, at the instructor's share. The instructor's share of a refund is 85% or 70% of the refunded amount, following that sale's split.

5. AI Studio

AI Studio is a paid tool that generates teaching assets (safe production environment representations) from instructor descriptions. AI Studio output is a creation tool — instructors use it as a backdrop or supplement for their video content. Prodlake does not claim ownership of AI Studio outputs. The instructor is responsible for reviewing generated assets for accuracy before publishing.

6. Intellectual Property

Your content: You retain all intellectual property rights to content you upload. By publishing on Prodlake, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, deliver, and display your content to paying learners.

Platform content: The Prodlake platform, brand, design, and proprietary technology are owned by Prodlake Technologies, Inc.

7. Prohibited Use

You may not:

  • Share, redistribute, or record published experiences for use outside the Platform.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, download, or bulk-access content.
  • Create accounts for the purpose of manipulating reviews or ratings.
  • Upload content that violates our Content Policy.

8. Content Removal

Prodlake reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our Content Policy. Instructors will be notified before removal except in cases involving security risks (exposed credentials, customer data). Repeated violations may result in account suspension.

9. Limitation of Liability

Prodlake provides the Platform "as is." We are not liable for losses resulting from content accuracy, service interruptions, or third-party actions. Our total liability is limited to fees you have paid to Prodlake in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time. Instructors who close their accounts may withdraw published content; existing learner access to previously purchased experiences will continue until expiration. Prodlake may terminate accounts that violate these Terms with 30 days notice, or immediately for security violations.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration under AAA rules, except for injunctive relief claims.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms with 30 days email notice to registered users. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
