Prodlake Technologies, Inc. ("Prodlake," "we," "us") operates the Production Experience Platform at prodlake.com. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our platform as an instructor, learner, or visitor.

1. Information We Collect

Account information: When you create a Prodlake account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials via our identity provider (Clerk). Instructors also give us their payout details: either bank details (account number, IFSC and account holder name) or a UPI ID. Prodlake stores these details itself. Admin screens show them masked, and each time an admin views the full details to make a payout, that view is recorded.

Content you create: Instructors upload video content, course metadata, and may use AI Studio to generate teaching assets (investigation timelines, terminal replays, architecture walkthroughs). We store these on your behalf.

Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with published experiences — lessons watched, progress markers, completion timestamps — to provide your learning dashboard and to calculate instructor payouts.

Payment information: Razorpay processes course payments and AI Studio subscriptions billed in India. Dodo Payments processes international AI Studio subscriptions. Paddle continues to process AI Studio subscriptions that began before Dodo Payments replaced Paddle. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.

Technical data: Browser type, IP address, device information, and session identifiers for platform stability and security.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To operate the platform: deliver video content, track progress, process payments, and calculate each instructor's revenue share.
• To power AI Studio: when instructors use AI Studio, their scenario descriptions are sent to our AI infrastructure to generate teaching assets. These inputs are not used to train models.
• To improve the platform: aggregated, anonymized usage patterns help us understand which experience formats work best.
• To communicate: transactional emails (purchase confirmations, payout notifications) and, with your consent, product updates.
• To enforce policies: detecting prohibited content (credentials, API keys, customer data) in uploaded experiences.

3. Content Ownership

Instructors retain full ownership of their uploaded video content and course materials. Prodlake holds a license to distribute that content to paying learners on the platform. AI Studio outputs (generated assets) are tools created on behalf of the instructor — the instructor owns the resulting teaching materials.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information only with:

• Service providers: Razorpay, Dodo Payments and Paddle (payments), Clerk (authentication), AWS (hosting and AI infrastructure), Mux (video delivery).
• Legal requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights and safety of our users and platform.

5. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Instructors may delete their courses at any time, which removes the content from learner access. Progress and transaction records are retained for financial reporting purposes for up to 7 years after account closure.

6. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest for stored content, and role-based access controls. AI Studio inputs are processed ephemerally and not persisted beyond the generation session unless the instructor saves the output.

7. Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing privacy@prodlake.com. EU/UK users have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing.

8. Changes to This Policy

We will notify registered users via email of material changes to this policy at least 30 days before they take effect.
